John Mann is a JUNO award winning singer-songwriter, and the frontman for the iconic band Spirit of the West. In 2014, John was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. John has since become the voice and name behind an annual benefit concert to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. Working with Canadian Alzheimer's Society, J. Walter Thompson was asked to develop a logo for the concert series that celebrates John and the Music Project. We developed a wordmark that has a flowing, musical feel. The painterly strokes convey energy and optimism, and can be built upon for years to come.
